     Hey, everyone. I noticed an ad the other day for an odd Halloween activity. These folks had a big corn field. For a modest price, they would let you come out and shoot paintball guns at Zombies. No, the zombies weren't real. They were people dressed as zombies. They were actors that would shamble out of the corn field toward you, so that you could feel justified in blasting them. I thought that it was a cool idea.     So, tonight is Halloween. I hope all the little goblins stay safe out there. Boy, has things changed for this holiday? I am afraid that all the ghouls are not imaginary these days.      I am sick of the election stuff. Be glad when that is over. In self-defense, I have been playing a lot of Apocalypse Max, still.       Hey, everyone. I have been playing an excellent game yesterday and today. It is called Apocalypse Max and it is one of the good ones. I got it for free, although it is normally $2.99. It has been so much fun that I felt compelled to buy an in-app, just so I wouldn't feel like I was cheating them or freeloading. Even the in-apps are done more fairly than most because you don't really need to spend money to make progress. Rare, in today's app store.      This game is a side scroller, though not an endless runner. Basically you can stand still when you want to catch your animated breath. At other times you advance, mostly to the right, shooting apocalyptic creatures with a bad attitude. There are sections in which you are in the swamps and sewers, as well as other places which I haven't conquered yet.     If you come across some crates, swipe on the screen and smash them open.     Hey, everyone. I love to watch the internet start to buzz after one of these Apple events. The I-Pad Mini was unveiled yesterday. Much to my surprise, it has the features of the older, but excellent, I-Pad 2. What I mean is this. It doesn't have Retina Display or the A6X chip. Obviously, it will have those very soon, maybe in the Spring of next year. I feel that the target market for this device is the ladies, who want an I-Pad to fit in a handbag, students of high school and college levels and the elderly who love to read but find a full-sized tablet a bit hard to hold for long periods. Folks are also griping about the price points and are comparing apples to oranges as they look at some of the e-readers. Selling products for cost is not for everyone, though it seems to work okay for Amazon.        I have zero interest in a Mini for myself. I want the bigger tablet.     Hey, everyone. As Sunday night becomes Monday I reflect back on the weekend. It has been okay. I watched a little football, played a few games on the Padster and hung around with my wife. We watched some movies. I like old westerns and tonight I watched part of an old Randolf Scott offering called The Nevadan . I was surprised because it wasn't that good. Usually I really enjoy all of Mr. Scott's films. It was in color, which is odd for his flicks. I gave up on it about the half-way point.      Carley has played a bunch of a game called Word Jewels 2 . She played 101 levels of this game. Can you believe it? It has a board with letters arranged in a honeycomb. the red colored letters can be strung into words, disposing of the letters. You only have a certain number of moves until you lose. She enjoys it so much that she only mumbles occasionally, which means it's a 5 star game. It is either free or 99 cents, I forget.     What did...

    Hey, everyone. It has been my great pleasure tonight to watch a documentary on T.V. The title of the show was The Untold Story of 007. It was shown on a satellite movie channel called EPIX 1, which is available on Dish Network.     It is the story about the movie-making side of the James Bond series and it was outstanding. I have been a Bond devotee since I was 12 years old and I learned a lot of new things tonight. The film had commentary from several of the Bond actors and several U.S. Presidents, among others. I'll try to share a bit about the film with you.      Ian Fleming was actually in the espionage game during WW 2. He dreamed of buying a beach cottage in Jamaica after retiring and that's what he did. The last time I checked, you could still rent that house for a vacation, something I'd love to do. Fleming started writing the Bond series in that home. He was a bit of a recluse, loved the booze and loved the ladies. When...

      Since I had lowered myself to the point where I was discussing the stars on Wonder Woman's panties on my last post, I felt I should grow up a bit today. Therefore I want to do some serious reporting and I have chosen to talk about Orcs. Yes, those creatures made famous by Role Playing Games the world over. In particular I want to review a game called Orc Vengeance .     This game came out a few weeks ago and cost $2.99. It garnered some good reviews and appeared to be fun so when I saw that it had gone on sale yesterday(?) for 99 cents, I pounced on it like white on rice.      This game is a huge file (400 MB) and is very deep. A bad boy with the dreadful monicker of The Dark lord has taken over the troubled world of Argon. Deep in the bowels of a dungeon is Rok, an Orc with an attitude. He wants Vengeance (hence the name of the game) for the wrongs done to his people, if I may call them that.    ...
