To Kill A Lobster (Shadowgun)

Hey, everyone. I had not planned on posting tonight but I have to make something right. I gave Shadowgun a good review last night but I didn't do it justice. Tonight I got past the vicious Cyber Lobster and went on to play a lot more. This is a terrific game! Last night I would have rated it 4 stars out of 5. Tonight I give it 5 stars out of 5. By the way, here's a spoiler alert. If you don't want to know how to kill the lobster, don't read any further. I say this because I had several people come to the blog that were looking for the silver bullet ( figure of speech from old Dracula movies, not literal weapon for lobster) to kill this behemoth.
When the monster appears, he starts firing missiles at you out of his mechanical mouth. Don't run and hide behind a barrier. Get close to him and run back and forth, dodging missiles until you can blast the lime colored ball of light that appears periodically over his head. I suspect that this is his AI, but Cyber Lobsters are not my area of expertise. Anyway, he will crumple like a rag doll after 20 or 30 bullets in that tennis ball looking thing. Keep a fresh magazine in your gun while you dodge missiles.
This game is poised to take its place among the upper echelon of I-Pad games like Rage, Real Golf 2011, Asphalt 6, Nova 2, 9MM and Carnivores. Don't wait for it to go down in price because it kicks butt.
From the place where I no longer walk in fear of Lobsters, I'm CE Wills, here at the author's green retreat.

  3. I have had some problems with Shadowgun every now and then I will randomly fall down under the floor and have restart the level. I have also had problems with the app restarting itself and on the elevator behind where you defeat the second Cyber Lobster you go up the elevator but then it just stops and no doors or ramps do anything its really frustrating when I have to the level over and over again and sometimes when I have been in battle with the Cyber Lobster the green thing that is supposed to be above it doesn't come so I have to restart it if I had to give it a score it would be 3.5 out of 5 stars because of all of the bugs in the game I would really like to give it at least 4 but I can't even though it has amazing graphics, cool boss battles and even battling the normal soliders is pretty fun. I hope this comment made sense and I hope in the future that this doesn't happen again

    See ya

  4. You're a better man than me... I still can beat the damn thing. Tried now like 20 times. I can't even control the guy well enough to shoot the damn green thing. Are you playing on a tablet or a phone? I'm on an Evo. Maybe I should be playing on a tablet.

  5. Hey - in the far right near the front corner there's an L shape comprising a barricade and the front fence. Hide in this corner and shoot the lobsters green spot. He can't hit you back. Use your Roll function to get over to the corner barricade.

The White Chicken Mystery

The other night I happened to come home very late. It was the middle of the night and I was driving up a steep mountain road. Near the top I saw something white in my headlights. It was standing in the other lane, standing very still. It was a large white chicken. It was probably a rooster because I thought I could see his comb as I whizzed by at my customary pace. He never moved a muscle. This is weird, don't you think?      After a couple of days to consider this phenomenon, I have come up with some plausible answers for his bizarre behavior. 1. He was conflicted whether or not he should cross the road. 2. He was feeling cocky and decided to play chicken with the traffic. 3.He was being hen-pecked at home and had decided to end it all. 4. Someone had egged him on to do it. 5. He had just watched the movie Fantastic Four and decided to try to stop a truck the way that Ben Grimm did on the bridge. 6. He had driven himself crazy wondering if ...

Cake Is Better Than Swords

Hey, everyone. On Thanksgiving, we had a get-together here at The Author's Green Retreat. One lady brought a cake which I wanted to show you. It had the look of a Roman Coliseum about it. Inside it was just as decadent...and fun, as ancient Rome. When I cut it open, homemade marshmallow cream began to ooze out in several spots, running over the chocolate cake and peanut butter icing. It is best served warm so the cream is fluid. Very tasty. The same lady, and her children, are people who have played a lot of Skyrim. They gave me some pointers on the game because I am having problems with it. They taught me how to fast travel, and a ton of other things, but the main thing was the armor and clothing problem. This is a little embarrassing, but let me explain. Okay. For several weeks when I played, I would enter towns and everyone I met would comment on my nakedness. I would select a tunic and shoes, whatever, go back around people and they would say something about it. I guess I w...

Batman Lives In Washington, DC

Hey, everyone. I just read an interesting article on Washington Post.Com by Mike Rosenwald. It was titled Who Is the Route 29 Batman? This is a true story about a guy that the cops pulled over. The guy was driving a black Lamborghini with Batman plates. There were yellow Batman symbols on the doors. They had a video from the police car that showed him being pulled over. He was wearing a Bat-suit which he said cost him $5000. His gig is that he visits sick children in area hospitals and hands out Bat-Toys and Bat-books to cheer the kids up.     His name is Lenny B. Robinson and he says that the 'B' stands for Batman. He is perfectly sane and is just a good dude trying to make a difference. He is a self-made millionaire and is currently having a duplicate of the Batmobile custom-made at a cost of $250,000.    It was a hoot, watching the cops having their pictures made with the Bat Guy. Someone asked him where Robin was and he said that the boy won...
